We have all been there.
Emails from seemingly random people with a life-changing job offer, a warning that your account has been hacked, or even an invoice. Spam is a type of unsolicited message that you receive (and often find quite annoying, might we add!).
Spam emails are unwanted messages that are often sent in bulk and are either commercial or malicious.
There are various reasons for spamming such as marketing, phishing, and malware/virus distribution. Spam can also be generated by bots that automatically generate content to drive traffic to specific websites or social media accounts.
All-in-all, when optimizing your email marketing strategy, you want to do everything in your power to NOT be labeled as a spammer as you embark on this adventure in your business.
(Yes, they won't.)
As entrepreneurs, one of our top values should be integrity. Maintaining integrity online is integral, as the internet is extremely vulnerable to scammers and spammers alike.
You do not want to be grouped alongside with them, SO, we put together a list of words you SHOULD avoid at all costs! DO NOT use any of these words inside of your marketing emails as the use of them may trigger spam filters causing your emails to be sent directly to the spam folder, bypassing the inbox. (bye, bye forever 😢).
Go back to this list often to make sure you never end up in spam! It would be a shame for all your hard work when it comes to crafting strategic messages to your audience to go to waste.
Have you used any of these words before?
If you have, now you know better! Avoiding these words means avoiding spam filters and preserving the integrity of your business’s email marketing, which will greatly assist you in the long run when it comes to brand representation & visibility.
We want your emails to be opened by as many people as possible (don’t we all?).
We are constantly updating this list, so be sure to check back often, or follow us on social media to make sure you don’t miss out on anything!
