When we talk with people who’re considering switching to Social Fox, one of the questions we get fairly often is: “I already use Project Broadcast, how does Social Fox measure up?”. This is a great question because we love sharing and comparing the different features found within Social Fox!

Project broadcast manages their bulk text messaging through Campaigns and also allows flexibility for individual messages. These campaigns allow you to automate messages to be sent over specific time periods. They also allow you to build in ‘keywords’ that your contact can send you which then triggers an auto-reply message [for example: “Text me ‘get started’ and I’ll send you the sign up info!”]. 

Social Fox achieves this automation functionality through what we call workflows. These allow you to automate a series of events that could include emails, SMS, voicemail drops, adding tags, adding the person to another workflow, and adjusting your messaging based on previous questions or interactions your customer has had with your system. There is one area where Project Broadcast has a leg up, though. They have a built in spam checker for your messages. Essentially before you send your message, you can check the likelihood that it will be delivered based on the body of the message. As Project Broadcast is first and foremost a bulk text messaging service, this is honestly a great addition to their platform. 

Project Broadcast offers article based and pre-recorded video training to help their users get the most out of their platform and has email support available for additional questions.

While we did compare Project Broadcast’s functionality to Social Fox’s above, there are a few standout features that Social Fox has. LC Phone’s integration allows our users to not only send SMS messages, but to make phone calls from their LC Phone number, record those conversations and store them in the contact’s record, and also send voicemail drops as part of their communications.

If you’re unfamiliar with voicemail drops, essentially you can pre-record a voicemail and deliver that directly to the voicemail box of your customer or lead providing an additional touchpoint with that customer and further building trust.
