We’ve been firmly in the Information Age for the past seventy years or so and, honestly, it’s an exciting time to be a business owner! We actually like to think that we’ve entered into, what we’re calling, the ‘Age of Automation’. Technology has been rapidly progressing around us for many years [and has recently taken a quantum leap forward with the prevalence of AI] and is changing the way entrepreneurs run their businesses. We can now leverage automated business and marketing systems to both streamline and scale our businesses more quickly than ever before.
There are many platforms out there today claiming to have the best and most full featured marketing suite, but how do you know what’s actually best for you? Today we are taking a look to see how Social Fox stacks up to another popular marketing platform for network marketers, Wavoto.
While both of these platforms have similar goals [to allow their users to streamline and centralize their businesses] the execution varies greatly between them. Stick around as we get into the nitty gritty with these two platforms so you can decide which one is ideal for your business: Wavoto or Social Fox?
The ability to manage your business contacts and track their customer journey through your sales system is, we think, often an underrated aspect of business ownership. After all, doesn’t business really just boil down to managing your customer relationships? Yes, there’s many aspects to a business, but being able to track your customer’s journey, see exactly where they are in the flow of your business, and move them to the next logical step to convert or retain that customer: priceless.
This is one of the particular areas where Social Fox shines and Wavoto falls just a little short. Wavoto gives you the capability to segment your list by tags, such as how they came into your system or which offers they’re interested in, and then bases their email and SMS automations on those tags. Social Fox takes it a step father and gives you the ability to not only tag your leads and customers based on how they came into your business, but also based on many other integrated features such as: if they opened or replied to an email, clicked on a trigger link, or moved to a new stage in your business pipeline [A.K.A your customers journey]. They also allow you to filter contacts in your list by more than 50 parameters [really it’s unlimited because you can create custom filtering parameters as well] so that you can segment your contacts in the way that makes the most sense for your business.
If you’re new to email list segmentation and want to dive into the how’s of getting started with segmenting, be sure to check out this post which goes over the easiest ways to get started and organized with your email list.
Contact management isn’t the only area where Social Fox expands on Wavoto’s CRM capabilities. With our Pipelines feature you can create a visual representation of your customers journey and see at a glance exactly where your leads are and who you should follow up with first, based on their actions in your system. To be honest, how many times have you sat down to follow up and not know which leads were the hottest and most likely to convert? If you don’t have an integrated marketing automation system set up, things can get hairy pretty fast with the follow up game.
And of course because we love a streamlined system, updating your lead’s contact information, tags, and stage in your customer journey is all done through native Social Fox automations making the process as easy as pie [and who couldn’t use an easier tech setup, amiright?].
Now, we’ve touched on different aspects of business automations so far but how does Social Fox and Wavoto differ with their automation suites? Let’s get out the microscope and do a deep dive.
If you haven’t picked up the overtones of “we love business automation” yet, get ready to nerd out with us [just a little bit, no computer science degree needed]. Automation is really a magical thing in business because it allows you, as the business owner, to get out of the minutiae of your business and get in your zone of genius. So how does Wavoto handle automations?
Wavoto delivers two types of business automations, or autoresponders as they deem them: email and SMS. You have the ability to set custom email sequences with SMS messages [the number of autoresponders allowed depends on your paid tier] and these are triggered by a specific tag added to a contact. Now the biggest caveat with these autoresponders is that a tag can trigger only one autoresponder sequence. So if you want to send an additional email to a specific segment of your list, you have to add that email into one of your existing autoresponder sequences. They do also have a separate email feature, Newsletters. This option has a bit more flexibility in who you can send email communications to. For this instance, you can build a custom email list to receive your newsletter instead of being restricted by one tag to trigger an email sequence.
Autoresponders aren’t the only automated feature in the Wavoto suite though. They do also include website management and utilize forms for lead capture. Based on the responses for these forms, tags can be automatically added and thus autoresponder sequences triggered making the follow up much easier for people that have shown interest in your business.
Now when we look at Social Fox from a business automation perspective, since Social Fox is an integrated marketing system, the number of things you can achieve with automation is almost limitless. If you’re new to business automations in general, be sure to check out this post to see the automations that we think all businesses should have in place.
With Social Fox, Automations can be triggered directly by more than 40 different events in your system including: form fills, purchases made, a specific course module started, appointment bookings, contact tags being added or removed, a lead moving to a different stage in your business pipeline, or the clicking of a specific link. These are just scratching the surface of what the Social Fox business automations can achieve.
The real beauty with these automations is their ability to seamlessly pull together the different facets of your business. Want to utilize an automated calendar booking system? Perfect, sync your personal calendar to Social Fox and allow it to automatically block off times where you already have personal commitments. Want to see who’s engaging with your email content? Awesome, tag people who open your emails, click on your links, or reply to your emails and update them as an engaged lead in your business pipeline. Want to target people who were interested in your paid offers but didn’t purchase? It’s easy to set up an abandoned cart sequence to remind them about your awesome product. How about tracking video watch time to make sure you know who your hot leads are? Simple, set up an automation that nurtures your leads differently if they watched all or just a little of your webinar.
It’d take too long to cover all the different ways to automate features of your business but what all these business automations really boil down to is time. Time saved by having all your marketing efforts in one place. Time saved by not having to log in to five or six different places just to see how your business is performing. Can you really put a price tag on that?
It’s no secret that for almost all businesses operating in the online space, a social media presence is a piece of your marketing strategy. While there are many strategies for social media marketing, pulling your followers off social media and onto your email list is the primary goal for most businesses. We all remember when Facebook and Instagram went black for a day, right? Hence, the importance of an email list.
Wavoto does have some social media integration functionality. They integrate with Instagram to allow an RSS feed of your posts to be added to your website and they integrate with Facebook to allow for Facebook messenger to be coded into your website. We take it a few steps farther at Social Fox, though.
Social Fox allows direct social media integrations and even provides a social planner to organize, schedule, and post your social media content to multiple channels. If you’re using paid social media strategies, don’t worry, we haven’t left you out. Social Fox also pulls your Facebook ads analytics and displays this directly within your account [along with Google ads analytics] and integrates Facebook and TikTok ads form mapping to gather leads directly from those form fills.
Organic social media strategies integrate beautifully as well through our synced social media messaging. You can easily create auto-reply sequences for your Instagram DMs and Facebook Messages in your Social Fox account to automate lead capture or just chat directly with your followers. And since this is a fully integrated system, you keep all your communications with your leads and customers [think social media messages, emails, text messages, and phone conversations] in one single thread.
We want Social Fox to be your one stop shop to manage your whole business so we’ve put the time, effort, and sweat equity into creating a streamlined and inclusive experience to make your life easier.
Now in a comparison post like this it’d be nearly impossible [and really tedious] to cover and compare every single aspect of Wavoto and Social Fox so we’ve laid out a table below so you can see how each feature stacks up.
From where we sit, the crux of this comparison is how many processes do you want to be able to control from your business automation suite? How much freedom do you want in the way you run and automate your business?
To parrot what we said at the start of this post, we believe that we’re firmly in the “Age of Automation” and plan to make the most out of every single drop of automation we can get our hands on. What we’ve seen with our users, and what we’ve experienced ourselves is this: there’s a direct translation between more business automation and less of a daily time requirement.
Don’t limit yourself to minimal automation capabilities, or even worse, duct taping your business together with Zapier and daisy-chaining your software systems. Go for the all-in-one marketing solution from the start and your bottom line will thank you.
At Social Fox we know that the most important part of any successful small business is the business owners themselves. If you as the business owner are burnt out and drowning in the small daily tasks of your business, the way you show up and serve your customers will drastically change. It causes a vibe shift that’s palpable.
It’s time to finally step into the world of business and marketing automation to free up not only your valuable time, but your headspace, so you can focus on the most important aspects of your business and the things that you most enjoy.
We like to operate under a largely, set it and forget it model. Build out and dial in your systems and processes according to your customer journey, make adjustments as necessary, set it to autopilot, and let Social Fox fly the plane while.
